Nelle L’Amour’s USA Today bestselling THAT MAN series continues with more laughter, more drama, and more scorchin’ hot Blake Burns. You are invited to the wedding of the century… 700 guests and counting. All Blake’s tiger wanted was a small wedding in her parents’ backyard. But with Blake’s controlling mother calling the shots, not to mention the wedding planner from hell, Jennifer’s patience is tested. Meanwhile, Blake has to deal with a skeleton in the closet: a jealous, delusional woman from his past who harbors a secret… A big secret…one that threatens to tear the perfect couple apart. Will Blake and Jennifer get their happily ever after? The THAT MAN series concludes with the epic, gripping final episode, coming in December 2014.

“Are you ready for part two of this gift?” My tiger eyed me suspiciously. “And that would be—” “The fun part. You get to ride me.” Jen’s face lit up like a little kid about to go on one of those coin-operated mechanical horsey rides. Wasting no time, she tore off my boxers she had on and repositioned herself, straddling my lap with my cock impaled inside her. Gripping her hips, I bucked her hard as she rode me up and down. I hissed. Fuck, yeah! This was good. So fucking good and for both of us. Holding on to my shoulders, she got to control the pace while I got to go as deep and as hard as I could. I repeatedly hit her G-spot with each powerful thrust. She shrieked with pleasure each time I did. I gazed at her heated face. Her head arched back, she looked so impassioned, and I was mesmerized by the way the dangling earrings I’d just given her shook and shimmered. Quivering as if they were having little orgasms of their own. I was tempted to nibble her lobes but worried in my state of lust I might bite off an earring and swallow it whole. I gripped her hips tighter as she accelerated her pace. The friction and heat of her rubbing against my thick length felt so fucking amazing. “Do you like your present?” “Oh, God, yes!” she panted out. “I’m so close to coming!” “Good, baby,” I groaned. On the next deep thrust, she fell apart with a thunderous “Yes” and I could feel her throbbing all around my pulsing cock. Her body shook as I grunted out my own explosive climax and met hers full on. Spent and sweaty, we collapsed onto each other, her arms wrapping around me. We stayed in that position for several sweet minutes as we rode our orgasms out. Five minutes later, we were nestled side by side, her head resting on my chest. We were almost recovered. Now close to five, the sun had begun its disappearing act and cast a mellow amber glow. Jen traced lazy, ticklish circles on my chest. “Baby, I’ll never be able to top that birthday present.” I playfully flicked the tip of her cute upturned nose. “Don’t worry, you will.” “Do you have something in mind?” “Yeah, I do.” I was turning the big three-O. “How ‘bout a hint?” “I want to wake up to my wife.” I felt her jolt against me. “What are you saying, Blake?” “What I’m saying is that I want to marry you on the day before my birthday.” “December twentieth? Gosh, Blake. That’s only two months away.” “Jen, we’ve been engaged for over five months and it’s time to set a date. My mother has been driving me crazy.” Jen giggled. “Mine too. I keep telling her that we’ve just been too busy at work.” Which was true. Except I’d checked our calendars and had come to the conclusion that Saturday, the twentieth, would be a perfect time to get married. With Christmas around the corner, most of our SIN-TV productions would be shut down and our offices would be closed until January third—giving us an opportunity to go on a two-week honeymoon. I explained all this to Jen. She agreed. It made total sense. She rolled on top of me and gave me a hot spontaneous kiss. “Oh my God, Blake, we’re really going to get married!” The excitement in her voice was contagious. I smashed my lips against hers. “Yes, you’re going to become Mrs. Blake Burns, and tonight we’re going to break the news to our parents.” “My mother is going to be so excited!” Jen beamed. “She’s been planning our wedding forever.” I didn’t know if Jen could feel my heart skip a beat. I quietly gulped. And so had my mother. Instead of letting her know this, I urged her to take a shower with me and get ready for our dinner. The future Mrs. Blake Burns had another surprise in store.

Yep! THAT MAN!!! Blake is going to be my perdition. But isn't he gorgeous? And, yes, he knows he can charm the pants off any woman. It is a good thing that Jennifer loves him so dearly. But his past keeps raising its ugly head and he has not come clean, so to speak, with Jennifer. His ex is always sticking herself in the middle, and I wish Jennifer were not such a lady would just deck her once and for all.

This wedding is doomed! Jewish Mom taking over all preparations for her ONLY son's wedding (her daughter eloped so no use talking about that). The wedding planner from hell... and she is the mother of Blake's ex as well as Blake's mom's BFF. You get where we are going here? I would have been eloping by now based on all the problems Jennifer is dealing with.

Nelle L'Amour has a unique writing style... she can make you laugh and cry at the same time describing the ins and outs of this wedding from hell. She knows just how these characters behave and has defined them so well, you would think these are people you know personally.

I am waiting impatiently for December and the last installment of this delightful series. I am taking bets! I say NO WAY is Jennifer wearing that hideous wedding dress. NO WAY! Girl, grow some and tell them this is your day and at least the dress must be of your choosing!

Grayson by Lisa Eugene Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway

  GRAYSON

All she needed was a job…
The last thing twenty-four year old grad student Angie Roberts needs is to worry about her new boss’s father. After all, she’s never even seen him. He remains sequestered upstairs in a house that looks like it should be the main feature in an episode of Hoarders. She had no idea the house was such a dump when she took the job. But she’s concerned about the safety and health of the old man living under such horrid conditions.

What she got was a mystery…
Despite warnings not to venture upstairs, she wanders up to the second floor. What she sees is shocking. The man she finds is a gorgeous, sexy, middle-aged man-- and he's stepping out of the shower. But something is definitely not right. Why would this wealthy, handsome man live in a house in such disrepair while his nine-teen year old son resides in a lavish penthouse? Why does he hide away from society? Why does he come to her rescue and then run away?

What she discovered was heartbreaking…
Angie learns that forty-four year old Grayson Whitmore suffers from schizophrenia. Paranoid, he retreats into his own world.

What she ended up with was a treasure…
Angie is determined to get through to him. They form a friendship that blazes into an inconceivable love fired with erotic passion. Angie must now come to Grayson’s rescue because the wicked that has been perpetrated on him is unconscionable. First, though, she must gain the trust of a man whose mind does not allow for such a thing.

Early Sunday morning, I crawled out of bed in search of Grayson. I discovered him upstairs in the room with the books. They were piled all around him as he scratched at something on the floor with an old shovel. The room was saturated with an early morning chill, so thick I could feel it seeping through my skin. I hugged my torso, scrubbing my palms up and down my arms. I approached him hesitantly and asked what he was doing. My heart was in my throat because I never knew what to expect with Grayson. He stopped and leaned against the handle, his cloudy gaze finding my face. He was fully dressed. He must have gotten dressed again after we’d made love earlier.

“Digging,” he acknowledged casually. “Digging a trap.”

I swallowed hard, emotion stacking like bricks in my chest. I shook my head, my mind grasping for purchase, trying to understand. “A trap for what, Grayson?”

“Danger. I have to be prepared. I have to protect us.”

I reached out a hand, trying to keep it steady. “You’re safe, Grayson.”

His gaze shifted to my proffered hand, but he didn’t move. He didn’t believe me. Fear and skepticism drew a roadmap of worry on his face. His jaw squared and he tightened his lips into a brittle line. I watched his body uncurl as he grabbed the shovel and silently started scraping at the floor again. That’s when I saw it. There was a large, jagged crater in the dusty wood that must have been covered up by the scattered books. It was directly over the small cracks I’d seen in the ceiling downstairs, the network of spider veins I’d noticed soon after starting here. I wondered how long he’d been working at this trap. I could already see exposed beams and fluffy insulation. If he kept this up, eventually he’d put a hole right through the wood floor.

“Go back to bed, Angie.”

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying with you, Grayson,” I said sternly, plopping myself down on the floor next to him.

He stopped again and stared at me, his blue eyes almost cobalt in the gray dawn. His hair was a loose mane framing his face, giving him an unruly look. “You’ll be tired. You haven’t gotten much sleep.”

I squeezed my eyes shut, hurting, thinking of the reason I’d been up most of the night. We’d held each other, made exquisite love, bathed in a temporary utopia where I could pretend he was okay.
But Grayson wasn’t okay, and as I spent more time with him, I realized the extent of his fractured thoughts. My Grayson was funny and brilliant. My Grayson was tender and passionate. My Grayson could melt my heart with the tiniest smile. But this man, too, was my Grayson, a man who was sometimes out of touch with reality, who lived in the distorted world concocted by his brain. It was a world of doubt, fear, and distrust.

Sensitive, emotional, sensual, tender and gripping are but a few words to describe this story. All is not as it seems. It takes a lot of courage to face your demons and if you find a friend to help you along the way , well, that can make a whole new world of difference.

Angie is a determined and independent woman. She is courageous as well as loyal. Her heart has the capacity to love and protect as well as give her the courage to fight like a lion for what she believes.

Sequestered in the house where he was born, Grayson has built walls around his heart as well as his body. Unable to deal with the death of his wife five years ago, his mild schizophrenia has spiraled out of control. The pills don't help when he thinks they are poisonous. People disturb him as well as crowds and their noise. This solitude provides some peace, but the loneliness is overbearing.

There is evil working in the background scheming to further bring down Grayson. This evil is not of the supernatural kind. This is a living, breathing fiend set on usurping all that Grayson once accomplished. This is not out of revenge, but as uncaring greed and lack of empathy.

What struck me while reading this book was the kindness and sensitivity Angie provides Grayson while dealing with his mental health. Great strides have been accomplished in providing support to schizophrenics so they can function in the world. What this story brought to my mind was how easily people can manipulate a patient with this illness. We owe these patients every opportunity to live a normal life, with compassion, acceptance and emotional support.

My name is Genevieve Clare, professional mourner, destined to spend my days donning a black suit and throwing myself on top of caskets for money. Sometimes I mixed it up and threw myself on top of a willing warm body instead. Finding the right warm body though, that was a different story.

TEASER  QUOTES

#1 - With Tony, it seemed to take a lot to get me going. When Ahren walked into a room, I wanted to smother him with my vagina.

#2 - "It was a work of art, beautiful, as if carved by the masterful, dirty, filthy hands that knew exactly what a girl like me would want."

#3 - "We’re all gonna die, Cookie. Death is the devil you know. The better you live, the more you piss him off, and he just hates that. Right now, you’re lettin’ him get his way.”

#4 - So when I looked at him in the truck, I saw this man I’d loved for years. This time, instead of looking at him with the eyes of a silly girl, an awkward teen, a romantic young woman, or a grieving daughter…this time, I looked at him with the eyes of a woman in love. A woman who knew her heart, finally, and I knew, in that moment, nothing would ever part us again.

#5 - Now, seeing all of him, I fell a little more in love that day because, in my mind, he’d always been perfection. But no one is perfect, not in the real world. His fragility made him so in my eyes.

About Julie...

#6 - “Little pieces,” I whispered.

“Sorry?” he asked against my hair.

“Just when I think I can’t love you more, you give me another piece to add to my heart.”

#7 - “Love it when you talk to me about cement. It makes me think about your cock,” I said against his lips.

#8 - "I love you, Gen and you love me and I hope to God you have more of these skirts because I’m about to tear that fucker right off of your body.”

#9 - “I’ll share your smile, your laughter, your generosity, and your friendship, but I won’t share your body, and I won’t share your heart.”

#10 - “I’ve decided it’s worth the risk of losing you and having you for one day, than never having you at all.”
